Why Spring Naturally Changes What We Crave
There is something about spring that changes appetite almost without noticing.
Heavier winter meals begin to feel less appealing, mornings feel brighter, and many people naturally start reaching for fresher foods, colder drinks, and lighter combinations.
We often notice it ourselves around this time of year — wanting more greens, more citrus, more water, and meals that feel simple rather than comforting in the winter sense.
It is not usually about trying to be healthier. It is often just seasonal instinct.
Longer daylight can shift routines. Warmer temperatures often mean the body asks for hydration more often. Even energy levels begin to feel different when mornings become lighter.
This is often why green juices, citrus flavours, fresh fruit, cucumber, herbs, and lighter breakfasts suddenly feel more appealing.
For us, spring is less about changing everything and more about gently leaning into what already feels natural.
Adding one thing often works better than removing five.
A little more water.
Something green during the day.
A juice in the fridge ready for when energy dips.
A slower breakfast when mornings allow.
Seasonal changes often tell us more than strict routines ever can — if we pay attention to them.
